• The Quality Assurance Assistant reports directly to the QAM.
  • He/she shall ensure that the Quality Assurance System records are kept up to date.
  • The QA Assistant monitors correspondence and ensures that Corrective Action Requests are returned on time, if the due date is approached the relevant party will be contacted and a reminder will be sent. If no response was received, the QAM will be advised of the non-response.
  • The QA Assistant will be required to assist with Audits and Monitoring processes.
  • The Quality Assurance Assistant will be responsible for assisting the QAM to ensure that the Quality Assurance and Document Control Systems are properly maintained.
  • Provide reports to the QAM of each audit, internal and external, specific findings, root causes and if needed propose possible solutions to avoid or reduce re-occurrence of the same or similar shortcomings, if assigned to conduct an audit.
  • Monitor the publications for new procedures, required regulations and directives, audits and findings and status of corrective actions and advise the QAM of such changes and the impact on the QAS.
  • To communicate on behalf of the QAM with the Authorities about the Quality Assurance System and the regulatory standards.
  • Regularly review new and existing documents and manuals for currency and correctness.
  • Update electronic databases.
  • Handle and file correspondence on behalf of the QAM.
  • Stand in or represent the QAM in his/her absence.
  • Carry out any tasks or duties as assigned and agreed to by the QAM.


  • Matric (NQF 4)
  • At least 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar or related field
  • Good working knowledge of computer programs and systems for entering data.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Great communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Mathematical and recording abilities
  • Keen eye for detail
