The position is primarily responsible for executing the procurement and logistics responsibilities in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity, to implement the overall supply chain strategy, collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and Customer Service teams to determine the best vendors and distributors and provide daily feedback and to build and maintain good relationships with manufactures / suppliers and freight companies.

Key Responsibilities

Daily:

• Obtain multiple quotes as required.
• Compare and advise competitive pricing and estimated time on delivery and freight charges.
• Monitor purchase requisitions and processes.
• Issue purchase requisitions.
• Source and order project parts.
• Complete payment requisitions.
• Liaise with suppliers of parts.
• Track parts in question/discrepancies.
• Control parts quotes and costing.
• Monitor freight office, invoice, expenses and deals.
• Monitor project parts.
• Prepare, compile and forward quotations to relevant staff.
• Assist quality control with various tasks.
• Execute any other task / process requested by superior / directors.
• Communicate with relevant management of sourcing.
• Communicate with finance for funding and budget allocation.

Weekly:


• Monitor purchase requisitions.
• Manage closing services and parts orders.
• Follow up with suppliers, quotations, stock and ETAs.

Monthly:


• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Maintain healthy supply relations.
• Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.

Skills and Qualifications:


• Relevant courses in procurement, logistics, supply chain or relevant field.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of the consumer goods industry.
• Solid understanding of procurement and systems software.
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands on experience and a good working knowledge of procurement processes and procedures
• Knowledge of sourcing locally and internationally
