The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all supply chain management duties including selecting carriers, researching shipping methods, assessing budgets, and organizing storage.
The Warehouse Manager supervises deliveries of goods into warehouses and ensure products are accounted for, are stored safely and securely, and are despatched efficiently to customers. They also manage warehouse staff, which includes ensuring that they are working safely.
Must demonstrate strong attention to detail in order to oversee daily operations and logistics employees. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, you should also possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and inventory software systems.
The office will be inspected at any given time and should be presentable to potential customers. Adhere to all company policies, strictly apply confidential requirements and disciplinary code. Perform any other duty as instructed by supervisor, quality control, hangar manager and / or accountable manager, and Technical Director.
Key Responsibilities:
• Managing warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
• Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
• Setting up layout and ensure efficient space utilization
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Prepare annual budget
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
• Plan work rosters, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
• Recruit, select, orientate, coach and motivate employees
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
• Maintaining databases
• Training new and existing employees
• Processing within various software systems
• Systems reporting analysis
• Selecting carriers and negotiating contracts and rates
• Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries
• Supervising logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services
• Organizing warehouse, label goods, plot routes, and process shipments
• Responding to any issues or complaints
• Researching ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers
• Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations
• Evaluating budgets and expenditures
• Updating and evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement enhancements
• Ensuring all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
• Qualification in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or relevant field
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of the fix-wing and rotor-wing aviation parts industry
• Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software
• Outstation stores management including processing of transfers, receipts and issuing of required parts
• Understanding inventory pricing set-ups including costs, freight and mark-ups.
• Knowledge and understanding of min/max stock levels
• Knowledge and understating of carrying out physical stock-takes
• Batch and expiry items management
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Time management skills
• Hard working and willing to work outside of office hours
• Able to work under extreme pressure
• Willing to travel

• In-depth knowledge of software systems
