The position is primarily responsible for organizing parts / items in parts stores, as well as maintaining accurate inventory. The use of protective gear where applicable is advised to avoid accidents on the job. The individual must work effectively in team environments with other storemen and hangar staff to reach all product placement, inventory issuing and storage goals in a timely manner with no inventory lost and / or damages. He / She is responsible for reporting noncompliance products to discard areas.

Key Responsibilities

Daily:
• Take initiative.
• Attend daily production morning meeting.
• Implement meeting minutes every morning.
• Monitor daily courier dispatch, receiving and GRVs.
• Communications via e-mail and / or other mediums.
• Check daily requisition list and incorrect requisitions.
• Receive parts and freight.
• Monitor purchase requisitions and processes.
• Report parts in question/discrepancies.
• Report incorrect and / or incomplete freight documentation.
• Adhere to housekeeping.
• Issue parts and support the hangar Desks.
• Assist quality control with various tasks.
• Monitor core returns.
• Requisition completion, approvals and processing thereof accurately and timeously.
• Execute any other task / process requested by superior / directors.
• Ensure that all items are placed properly and binned accurately.
• Complete inventory paperwork and receive and ship items as required, as well as check stock orders and use a computer to dispatch items where required.
• Ensure quality control, assist staff members with common store duties and comply strictly to safety regulations and audit requirements.
• Follow strict safety protocols to avoid issues and report progress to procurement team or any other management, specifically the Warehouse Manager and Technical Director.
• Develop good relationships with vendors.
• Perform quality assurance tasks with excellent customer service to develop brand recognition and loyalty with external and internal customers.
• Coordinate with shipping to ensure all receiving shipments are moving in and out of parts store as scheduled.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Evaluate reports on inventory balance and shortages with Warehouse Manager.
• Do stock counts and ensure inventory records and actual inventory correspond.
• Execute cycle counts.
• Inform the Warehouse Manager of fast-moving inventory and / or when high demanding inventory is below minimum.
• Execute any other task given by Warehouse Manager and / or other superiors as requested.

Weekly:

• Issue when purchase requisitions are supplied.
• Actively participate in stock counts.
• Verify part in loaner book when required to issue loaner unit.
• Ship core returns, ensure core returns are dispatched to courier on-time, etc.
• Monitor requisition books are always used.
• Monitor and report on:
• Direct orders received
• Open orders
• Dead stock, fast-moving stock and low stock.

Monthly:

• Execute progressive stock take.
• Internal Audits Parts Division.
• Monitor dead stock levels.
• Financial Stock Closure and Stock Reports / Valuation as per Parts General Manager
• Count variance
• Closing Balances
• Contribute to stores reporting.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Grade 12 with mathematics
• Experience in storeman / stock or inventory management
