Aero Cafe & Lounge is part of the Westair Group of Companies, situated at the Eros Airport terminal building.

We are recruiting a Restaurant General Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant and inflight catering operations.

The goal of the Restaurant Manager is to keep restaurant and inflight operations running smoothly to create a positive atmosphere for customers and employees.

Duties and responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager include:

• Oversee all day-to-day operations of the catering and restaurant facility, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety

• Lead and manage a team of employees fostering a positive and productive working environment.

• Ensure compliance with all airline catering and restaurant regulations, health, and safety standards.

• Recruiting, training and supervising staff to follow restaurant procedures.

• Lead staff training and development programs to ensure continuous improvement.

• Organizing schedules, keeping track of employees’ hours and recording payroll data.

• Overseeing stock levels and ordering supplies while staying within budget limitations.

• Supervising daily shift operations, including front- and back-of-house restaurant operations.

• Develop and implement strategic plans to increase operational efficiency and profitability.

• Coordinate logistics for timely delivery of inflight and restaurant meals and ensure seamless service.

• Controlling operational costs and identifying ways to cut waste.

• Appraising staff performance and disciplining or retraining employees to correct poor performance.

• Manage budgets, financial reports, and KPIs to ensure cost-effectiveness.

• Innovate and improve menu offerings in collaboration with the culinary team

• Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation.

• Promoting and marketing the business.

• Handling customer enquiries and complaints.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and suppliers

• Greeting and advising customers.

• Preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports.

• Keeping statistical and financial records and doing costings of menu items.

• Assessing and improving profitability.

• Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives.

• Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.

Working hours are likely to be long and irregular, particularly because aviation is a very dynamic environment, and we need to accommodate last minute additions and changes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably in catering, hospitality, and aviation sectors past 10+ years’ experience

• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to manage client and stakeholder relationships.

• A thorough understanding of food safety standards, airline catering regulations, and HACCP principles.

• Strong financial acumen, including budget management and profitability analysis.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and handle operational challenges.

• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.

• Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills & open and friendly demeanor.

• Formal Qualification in Food and Beverage, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related Field.

• Must have a valid Driver’s License and own transport.

• References should be provided.

• Be available after hours.
