Job Title: Business Operations Manager

Overview:
Signa Aviation Services is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end management of its business and operational functions. This strategic leadership role requires a professional with a solid aviation background, strong commercial acumen, and a hands-on approach to managing daily operations, business development, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Oversee the daily operations of Signa Aviation Services across all functional areas including training, logistics, finance, HR, facilities, and safety.
- Implement, monitor, and refine operational processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards (NCAA/ICAO).
- Coordinate with heads of department to ensure alignment between operational output and business goals.
- Develop and manage performance metrics to track operational effectiveness and initiate corrective actions as needed.
Business Development & Strategy
- Identify new business opportunities and drive revenue growth through partnerships, market expansion, and service diversification.
- Develop proposals, lead commercial negotiations, and maintain relationships with key clients, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to strategic planning and execution, including setting financial targets, evaluating growth opportunities, and preparing business cases.
- Represent the company at aviation forums, industry exhibitions, and relevant stakeholder engagements.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff in coordination with HR.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure clear communication of expectations across departments.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure company operations are conducted in accordance with NCAA and ICAO regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage audits, certifications, and inspections.
- Implement risk management practices to ensure business continuity and regulatory adherence.
Financial Oversight
- Support the Managing Director in budget development, financial forecasting, and cost control.
- Monitor expenditure against budgets and ensure sound financial management across departments.
- Review and optimize vendor contracts and procurement processes.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an operational or management role, preferably in the aviation or aviation services industry.
- Proven track record of business development and team leadership.
Skills & Attributes:
- Solid understanding of aviation operations, regulatory compliance, and training environments.
- Strong commercial, financial, and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High level of organizational and problem-solving ability.
- Proficient in operational and reporting tools; familiarity with aviation systems (e.g. Acumatica, SMS platforms) is an advantage.
