The position is primarily responsible for forecasting and coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on given fleet of aircrafts. Overseeing the execution of maintenance and ensuring all required documentation is up to date in accordance with CAA / manufacturer regulations and requirements. Evaluating proposals for the expansion or updating of your schedule. Monitoring any inconsistencies and making adjustments to improve efficiency, maintenance, engineering orders, client instructions, advisory letters, etc. Reporting on progress and any issues that emerge and / or projected problematic forecasts.

Weekly:
- Generate AMP Task Card work packs for A/C timeously, at least 100 HRS or 1 month before due date (Excluding F406 & 425 Aircrafts) for Pre-Maintenance Meeting purposes. Once task cards have been finalized a AMS III WP can be generated which will be the official Work Pack that the Engineers will sign off
- Drawing up a Customer Advisory letter reflecting all the items due for the upcoming check and all OOP items and components due up to the next scheduled due check
- Assisting AME’s with queries on work orders and work packs
- Scheduling AD’s / SB’s and Engineering orders according to the Engineering order instruction
- Assist with the research of “new” aircraft and populating the computerized system with correct, accurate data
- Produce forecasts for scheduled maintenance and ensure correctness
- Ensuring the A/C cupboards for the A/C under your management is kept updated with the latest Work Packs and Documents. A/C cupboards should always be neat and presentable at all times
- Performing component movements on the computerized system for all hard time components
- Assist with movements for on-condition components on the computerized system from time to time
- Ensuring all A/C and component documentation are filed as per the Technical Records procedures
- Generate Engineering orders, which includes applicable research, signature of all relevant parties and insuring implementation thereof
- Closing of work packs, AD’s, SB’s and EO’s ensuring all the correct A/C and / or component HRS/CYC on date of closure and confirming that the next due HRS/CYC/date schedules correctly
- Adhering to all policies and procedures with regards to generating WP’s to ensure the MM/MPD/MRB for Airframe, Engines and APU’s corresponds to the AMP
- Performing movements – major MOD assembly and sub-assemblies
- Radio license regulatory requirements and applications
- Ensure the effective control and update the hard time components (Life Limited Parts) of aircraft maintained by Westair Wings
- Accurate and logical research and investigation of component part numbers and effectivity, this excludes CAMO from ordering any parts from Procurement
- Effective evaluation and update of system on computerized system per aircraft registration to correspond with model
- Generate WO’s for due Components 6 months in advance
- Drafting of Customer Adv letters for Major Module Components one year in advance
- Terminology on work orders (P/N, S/N, TSO, TSN, CSO,CSN, Repaired unit, Replaced unit, Overhaul etc)
- Control (perform) Component movements for serialized components managed on computerized system
- Component certification inspection, scanning and linking to equipment on computerized system
- Work packs (component movements) monitoring and updating
- Capturing and updating of components including zeroing of hours and cycles.
- Quality of work must at all times be unquestionable and accurate

- Verifying all data on WP’s/work orders are correct and all required documentation is attached

Monthly:
- Generate monthly calendar due tasks
- Generating and monitoring Reliability program
- Updated monthly customer advisory letters to be sent to clients timeously
- Updated monthly spec sheets to be sent to all clients
- Engine LLPs to updated twice a month
- Follow up on all outstanding subcon invoices / orders
- Monthly WPs to be verified as well as Work Pack Summary and be sent to the relevant parties for approvals and for invoicing
- Provide Estimates on Labour Hours, Costing of Parts and Services in the form of Customer Advisory Letters and Client Instructions
- Aircraft/Engines/Propeller/APU Maintenance Manual Revisions to be verified twice a month
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering would be advantageous
